About Ricky

Ricky is a 24-year-old native of Stinnett, Texas, who graduated from the University of Texas-Austin with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism.

He is a Longhorns fan, there's no getting around that. But it's never affected his objectivity in the past.

Before joining the award-winning Globe-News staff in July, Ricky was a correspondent for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram for six months, following a previous 10-week summer internship there.

Ricky covers volleyball, high school soccer, high school softball and the Amarillo Dillas for the Globe-News, as well as whatever his boss wants him to.
