Calling coaches, getting rosters and schedules, typing up random facts about teams and towns.
It's fun, though nerve-wracking at times. At the moment nobody has been able to get a hold of two new Six-man coaches, ones at Darrouzette and Lazbuddie. Our original deadline passed Tuesday to have everything written.
The point is this this: We're still a month away from Zero Week and already the focus is on football. Even as I get ready to go cover the Amarillo Dillas tonight as they try to overtake the Edinburg Roadrunners for the United Baseball League standings lead.
This is Texas, after all.
